"Two men have been arrested after a man described as a "loving member of the family" died in Newham, east London, police have said. Officers were called to reports of a fight at about 15:50 GMT on Tuesday in Palmerston Road, Forest Gate. Police and ambulance crews found Franklin Francis, 56, unresponsive and he was taken to hospital where he died on Thursday, the Metropolitan Police said."
"Two men, aged 56 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are on conditional bail, the force said. The family of Mr Francis, who was from Newham, east London, said: "Franklin was a loving member of the family whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew him. "His absence leaves a void that can never be filled. We will miss him dearly every single day." The family are being supported by specialist officers."
