Thousands more children in poverty since Labour victory due to two-child benefit cap
Briefly

According to analysis by the Child Poverty Action Group, around 10,000 children have fallen into poverty due to the two-child limit since Labour took office in July.
CPAG's chief executive Alison Garnham pointed out that scrapping the two-child limit is the most cost-effective measure to halt the rise of child poverty which is increasing daily.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves faces pressure to abolish the controversial two-child limit, yet cites public finances as a barrier to making any significant changes in welfare policy.
The two-child limit has affected over 450,000 households and 1.6 million children, prompting urgent calls from campaigners to reconsider its sustainability and ethical implications.
