Axel Rudakubana, the 18-year-old, dramatically changed his plea, admitting to the murders of three young girls during a dance class in Southport.
The attack occurred on July 29, 2024, when Rudakubana entered a dance studio and within minutes, chaos ensued as parents rushed in to find their injured children.
Mr Justice Goose indicated that a life sentence would be inevitable for Rudakubana, stating it was tragic that the victims' families were not present due to the last-minute guilty plea.
Witnesses described seeing young victims carried out of the building covered in blood. The summer event, intended for preschool children, turned into a horrific scene.
