Prolific shoplifter banned from wearing wigs in stores after disguising herself
Briefly

Hannah Roberts, 33, was prohibited from entering shops in Gloucester's City Safe Scheme due to persistent thefts. She attempted to evade the ban by wearing wigs, but her distinctive throat tattoo led to her identification.
After repeatedly ignoring previous sanctions, Roberts was issued a criminal behaviour order, prohibiting her from entering the city center and wearing disguises in retail settings. This order is aimed at tackling the rising issue of shoplifting.
PC Andy Plant stated, 'Our retail industry is suffering because of these persistent shoplifters. We will continue to support our businesses in the city by targeting shoplifters.'
The Office for National Statistics reported in July that shoplifting remains at its highest level in 20 years, indicating a growing concern for retailers and law enforcement.
