"Devon and Cornwall Police said the assault took place at around 3am on 12 September 2025, and was reported last month. The victim was dragged to the ground by a man who first engaged in conversation with her, then attempted to pull her top down on New George Street. He then put his hand over her mouth, but the victim managed to scream, alerting a passerby, which caused the man to flee."

A woman was sexually assaulted on New George Street, Plymouth, at around 3am on 12 September 2025, and the incident was reported on 26 January. An unknown white male in his early 20s approached her, engaged in conversation, attempted to pull her top down, followed her, then dragged her to the ground and put his hand over her mouth. The victim screamed, which alerted a female passerby and caused the suspect to flee. A witness, a woman in her 20s named Sophia, gave the victim her jacket, walked her home, and said she had just finished work. Police ask anyone who can identify Sophia or has information to contact 101 or submit details online quoting 50260021188.
