A serving Metropolitan Police officer has appeared in court charged with assaulting a man who was arrested after being mistaken for a suspect.Pc Jonathan Marsh, 33, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with assault by beating, where he pleaded not guilty.Pc Marsh, attached to East Area Command Unit, was called to an incident of criminal damage on Atlanta Boulevard, Romford, east London, on November 13 2022.
