Balliol College has suspended Williams pending further information and investigation, citing the university’s power to take immediate and proportionate action when serious concerns arise. Metropolitan Police said officers made an arrest while probing chants filmed at the demonstration. Tens of thousands marched; Gazan health officials report over 60,000 Palestinian deaths since October 7, 2023.
