The right-wing National Conservatism Conference in Belgium has been given the green light by the high court to continue its second-day programming after police initially shut it down. The court's ruling came after an emergency legal challenge by the organizers, supported by ADF International, a conservative Christian legal group.
The closure by police on the first day, during a speech by former UK home secretary Suella Braverman under opposition from local mayor Emir Kir, led to accusations of impeding free speech. Mr. Kir justified his actions citing concerns over attendees' 'anti-gay and anti-abortion' stances, denouncing far-right elements.
