Emergency services called to Bradford shopping center after a mother, Kulsama Akter, was fatally stabbed while pushing her baby. Suspect Habibur Masum, a student visa holder from Bangladesh, is being hunted. CCTV captured his movements after the incident.
Greater Manchester Police have referred themselves to the IOPC due to prior interactions with the victim and suspect. A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assisting the offender in the case, with raids in multiple locations.
Shopkeeper Geo Khan described the gruesome scene, stating he found the victim with stab wounds in her neck, no pulse, and blood all over the floor. Khan noted the victim's innocence and mentioned her recent arrival in the area.
Habibur Masum, the suspect, pursued a master's in marketing and digital marketing at the University of Bedfordshire and sought assistance in a Schengen visa application from Samin Ahmed's UK Visas Support Centre.
