James Pedley, 41, was convicted of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon after stabbing a man during a brawl on October 11, 2025. Following the attack, Pedley fled the scene but was later located by Nottinghamshire Police hiding under loft insulation at an address in Sutton-in-Ashfield. He received a 14-year prison sentence. Two accomplices, Kurt Horton and Tracey Hoff, pleaded guilty to assisting an offender and are awaiting sentencing.
