Millions of people claiming benefits could get 1,500 in back-dated pay if a court appeal starting next month succeeds.During the Covid pandemic, Universal Credit (UC) payments were increased by 20 a week.The increase in UC payments was paid between 30 March 2020 and 5 October 2021 and the additional pay for all 79 weeks amounts to 1,580.
