"A man who was arrested at Heathrow Airport trying to flee the country after a fatal hit and run in east London has been convicted of murder. Trevelle Rowland, from Islinton, north London, drove his car into 35-year-old Fergany Mvuezolo in March 2024 in East Ham, after they became involved in a disagreement outside a restaurant."
"It happened 10 months after Rowland drove into two security guards outside a pub in Barking, east London, over a "trivial dispute", the Metropolitan Police said. A jury at Inner London Crown Court on Monday found Rowland, 34, guilty of murder, dangerous driving, and two counts of attempted grievous bodily harm."
"Emergency services went to Barking Road, and found Mvuezolo severely injured and he died at the scene. Rowland was identified by the security guards he had driven at in the previous incident and was arrested at Heathrow Airport while trying to flee the country. He will be sentenced on 15 January."
