Larry Fraser, 48, stole a limited edition signed Banksy print, Girl with Balloon, from Grove Gallery on New Cavendish Street in central London on 8 September to pay off a historic drug debt. The print formed part of a 1.5 million collection of 13 Banksy pieces on exhibition at the gallery. At Kingston Crown Court, Fraser admitted the burglary and was sentenced to 13 months in prison. Judge Anne Brown described the offence as a brazen and serious non-domestic burglary. The gallery had been showcasing high-value works during the exhibition.
