On May 25, last year, a jeweller's shop was robbed by two men posing as customers. They tied up the manager, Oliver White, and stole watches worth £1.3 million. Following thorough investigations by the Met Police, Mannix Pedro, the mastermind behind the robbery, was convicted of conspiracy to rob. Tragically, White was found dead a day after the robbery; his family mourns him deeply, affirming his character and integrity. The case remains unresolved for one accomplice, and further inquiries are ongoing regarding additional individuals involved in the planning of the robbery.
I would describe Oliver as a huge character, very warm and a brilliant person. He lit up the room when he entered it and was incredibly kind and caring.
Given the jury have convicted a man of planning and organising the robbery of Oliver, we take this as vindication of our firmly held belief he played no role in this offence.
