A serious traffic incident occurred in Purfleet, resulting in the tragic death of a 17-year-old boy. The accident took place at approximately 10:15 PM near the Stonehouse Corner roundabout on London Road. An 18-year-old man from Rainham has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. In the aftermath, Essex Police have urged possible witnesses, especially those with dashcam footage, to come forward to assist with the investigation. The closure of the road following the incident has since been lifted.
