Aalia Mahomed, 20, was sitting on a bench in a pedestrianised area outside King's College London when a van struck her and other pedestrians. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A man and a woman in their 20s were also seriously injured. Christopher Jackson, 27, of Southampton, has been accused of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 5 January. Family described Mahomed as a "bright, kind and beautiful soul" and held a memorial near the site where many wore green. Her brother Zain said he would give anything for one more day with her.
