Christopher 'Chrissy' Burns was discovered dead at a property in the Mountnorris area with serious head and facial injuries. Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Major Investigation Team have charged a 39-year-old man with his murder. The 39-year-old man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on Monday, 8th September, and the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service. Mr Burns' death marks the tenth murder in Northern Ireland in ten weeks. Chief Constable Jon Boutcher considered drafting in homicide detectives from elsewhere in the UK to assist with investigations.
