Franklin Francis, 56, was found unresponsive by police on Palmerston Road in Forest Gate after reports of a fight at 3.50pm on Tuesday, November 25. He was taken to hospital and died two days later. Two men, aged 56 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and have been released on bail while officers continue the investigation. A photograph of Franklin Francis has been released by the Metropolitan Police. His family described him as a loving member of the family whose kindness and warmth touched everyone and said his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. Police acknowledged public concern and reassured the death was an isolated incident.
