JSO protesters who planned to glue themselves to Heathrow runway caught by police

On 24 July last year, a group of Just Stop Oil (JSO) protesters was intercepted by Metropolitan Police near Heathrow Airport while armed with glue and angle grinders. The group intended to cut through the airport's perimeter fence, aiming to attach themselves to the tarmac as a form of protest. Recently, nine members of this group were convicted of conspiracy to cause public nuisance and are scheduled for sentencing on 16 May at Isleworth Crown Court.
