Twins John and Edward Grimes, known as Jedward, who previously participated in Eurovision for Ireland, are considering representing other countries after noting a Norwegian singer is this year's representative for Ireland. They reflected on how the competition has changed, mentioning advancements like background vocals and effects. While grateful for Eurovision's influence on their careers and travel opportunities, they noted differing experiences for other artists and hinted at a possible return, suggesting they could come back with a larger spectacle or surprise fans like the Spice Girls.
When we did it you had to sing 100pc live but now they let you use background vocals. Like proper, you can put effects in so now it's a different climate, so people up there sing like Whitney Houston.
We're happy it was a positive for us and it got us out to different places that we thought we'd never be able to travel to and tour, so it's great that every time it comes around and we get to be a part of the celebration.
