Corporal Martin "Lebbie" O'Brien, who dedicated 23 years of service in the Irish Defence Forces, recently passed away, leaving a significant impact on his colleagues and community. Originally from Bagenalstown, Co Carlow, O'Brien was part of the 3rd Infantry Battalion and had completed multiple overseas deployments, including missions in Lebanon, Kosovo, and Liberia. The Defence Forces expressed their condolences, highlighting the profound loss felt by his unit, emphasizing O'Brien's extensive experience and the memories that will endure among friends and family.
