Iran's Supreme Leader has promised a "crushing response" following Israel's lethal strikes on Iranian military and nuclear officials. The attacks resulted in the deaths of four senior figures, including major military leaders, and damage to key nuclear facilities in Tehran. Despite promises of retaliation from Iran's leaders, as of Friday afternoon, no significant counterstrike had occurred. Reports of Iranian drone attacks against Israel were intercepted. Officials maintain that the Israeli assaults crossed significant boundaries, with threats of divine retribution against Israel and its allies for what is perceived as a provocative escalation in hostilities.
The Israeli attacks "crossed all red lines," said Ali Larijani, a prominent Iranian politician and adviser to the supreme leader, pledging a response with no limits left.
Iran's Guardian Council promised "a crushing and tooth-breaking response to these historical criminals" that will "serve as a lesson to the enemies of Islam."
