Investigation launched after man's body found in Brentwood
Briefly

A police investigation is underway in Brentwood, following the discovery of a deceased man in his 30s on Lincolns Lane. The Essex Police responded early on March 19 and confirmed the man was pronounced dead at the scene. While a cordon remains in place for inquiries, authorities are not treating the case as a murder investigation. Officers are actively seeking doorbell or dashcam footage from local residents from the night prior to assist in understanding the circumstances leading to the man's death, urging witnesses to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood emphasized, 'I would like to reassure the community that this is not a murder investigation, but rather an investigation into how, sadly, this man came to be found at the roadside.'
The police are encouraging locals to 'think carefully about anything they may have seen or heard on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in the vicinity of Lincolns Lane.'
Essex Police stated, 'We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry to establish the facts of this case, particularly around the circumstances in which this man died.'
