Tanesha Melbourne-Blake, a 17-year-old girl, was fatally shot on 2 April 2018 in Tottenham, London, while spending time with friends. The group was engaged in social activities when a car approached, and shots were fired. Tanesha's boyfriend witnessed the incident, describing the sound of gunfire. After being shot, Tanesha received immediate assistance from friends and bystanders, but medical professionals found she had suffered severe abdominal injuries and was barely breathing upon arrival at the hospital.
