Driver dies after car crashes off A13 and overturns near Beckton

A driver died five days after his car overturned on the A13 near Beckton, sustaining life-threatening injuries during the crash. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded around 8.30 pm on June 30. The car struck multiple objects before flipping over, and the driver escaped before the fire department arrived. Following the incident, a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and has been bailed as inquiries continue. The A13 was closed for 12 hours during the emergency response.
The driver was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on Saturday (July 5). His next of kin have been informed.
A huge emergency response was called around 8.30pm, including the air ambulance.

The silver car crashed with a bollard, billboard and tree, through a fence and finally overturned between the road and Beckton District Park.
