"A daughter has been charged with murdering her mother months after the pair vanished and sparked a major police search. Lorna Nightingale, 70, disappeared from Lowestoft in Suffolk in February. Her daughter Emma, 36, also went missing from Colchester four months later. Both women were found alive and well in September following a dramatic police operation. But last week Lorna was discovered dead at a home in east London."
"Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 10:14hrs on Thursday, 11 December to reports of an unresponsive woman at an address on Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow. A 70-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Emma Nightingale, 36 (13.06.1989), of Blackhorse Road, has been charged with murder. She was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on 9, January. Anyone with information should call 101, quoting CAD 2318/11DEC."

On 11 December emergency services responded to Blackhorse Road in Walthamstow where Lorna was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene. Emma Nightingale was arrested by the Metropolitan Police and charged with murder. She was remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 9 January. Police asked anyone with information to call 101, quoting CAD 2318/11DEC.
