Harry Russell, aged 26, suffered grave upper spinal injuries in a fall caused by a tumble dryer in his shared apartment in Monkstown, Dublin, on October 8, 2022. After being taken to St Vincent's University Hospital, he died five days later. Pathologist Margot Bolster confirmed that the impact resulted in a lack of blood flow to the brain. Despite traces of alcohol and cocaine in Russell's system, they were not deemed factors in his death. His mother expressed sorrow over the circumstances, linking the placement of the tumble dryer to her son's tragic demise.
"It was very unfortunate the way he fell," she added.
"If it was the clothes horse, Harry would still be alive today," Ms Starr sobbed. "It's been very hard the last two years. It's very hard to hear this."
