In late December, MoneySuperMarket, a travel insurance provider, released its list of the best airlines for long-haul flights."

"After looking at all the data, Singapore Airlines, which was also voted Travel + Leisure readers' favorite international airline of 2025, came out on top. As the results explained, it scored a four out of five or higher across all the key metrics, including value for money, reliability, in-flight experience, customer ratings, and food and beverages. Notably, the results stated that it was "the only airline to achieve a value-for-money score of 4/5.""

MoneySuperMarket analyzed passenger reviews and performance metrics across 26 carriers, using timeliness, cancellation risk, value for money, seat comfort, in-flight entertainment, and food and beverage ratings from TrustPilot, TripAdvisor, AirlineQuality, and Skytrax. Singapore Airlines placed first, achieving four out of five or higher across core metrics and standing out as the only carrier to score 4/5 for value for money. Qatar Airways finished second, followed by Cathay Pacific, TUI, Emirates, Qantas, Malaysia Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Delta, and Air France in the top ten. American Airlines scored lowest among popular carriers in comfort, entertainment, food, and TripAdvisor ratings but performed well on timeliness.
