Popular Hawaii adventure tour is closing after 25 years
Briefly

Kauai ATV, a popular off-roading adventure tour in Koloa, is set to close on January 31 after 25 years of operation. Founded in 1999 by Olegario Rivera, the business thrived, becoming a significant employer and attracting visitors with diverse tour options, including waterfall and plantation tours. Despite its success, the company announced its closure on social media, thanking the community for their support. The reasons behind the closure and its implications for other local businesses, such as Koloa Zipline, remain uncertain.
As the company officially packs up shop effective January 31, we would like to thank everyone who followed along and enjoyed the ride with us.
Ironically, rain was the reason I started Kauai ATV 20 years ago... I said, 'I'm not buying one. I'm buying 10 and starting a business.'
The ATV business was successful and grew quickly, as hotel concierges and activity desks frequently requested the tour for guests.
Visitors loved the variety, especially the waterfall. The waterfall was cold but such a delightful break plus it was a thrilling opportunity to jump off a waterfall.
