The California Highway Patrol reported that eastbound I-80 at Colfax was shut down after a big rig overturned around 4:30 a.m., damaging the guardrail and flipping onto its side. Additionally, westbound I-80 in Truckee faced closures due to a multi-vehicle collision involving at least seven big rigs. Further impacting traffic, Highway 20 was also closed between Nevada City and I-80, highlighting severe driving conditions in the area.
Eastbound I-80 at Colfax is closed as of 4:30 a.m. after a big rig overturned near the Eagle Lakes Road turnoff. The big rig hit the guardrail and flipped onto its side.
Westbound I-80 in Truckee is closed due to a multi-vehicle crash involving as many as seven big rigs. Highway 20 is also closed from Nevada City to I-80.
