Inside the foreign bar that locks a piece of San Francisco in a cage
Briefly

"What's most fun is how people throw themselves into the liquor smuggling," said Dan Shearman, a director at Inventive Productions, which produces Alcotraz and other experiential cocktail bars. "They bake loaves of bread and take out the filling to hide their liquor. Others buy teddy bears and remove the stuffing and smuggle in their liquor that way."
Despite criticisms, tickets to visit the London location sell out often at about £64 for two hours, to experience being 'locked up' in a cocktail bar.
Earlier this year, the National Network of Incarcerated and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls condemned the bar, calling it 'grossly insensitive and offensive.'
