The hotel’s pre-departure email went to the wife, who replied impersonating herself as the guest and claimed recent medical procedures requiring plastic sheets and incontinence supplies. She also insisted the minibar be removed and instructed staff not to serve alcohol under any circumstances. The mistress was then treated as an invalid by hotel staff, creating confusion and prompting a complaint from the wife.
