California developer restarts plan for $2 billion resort in Hawaii
Briefly

Kam Sang Co. Inc. has acquired nearly 44 acres in Ko Olina for about $216 million, reviving plans for a multibillion-dollar Atlantis resort that stalled previously.
The new development comes after years of stagnation when Oceanwide’s plans to build Atlantis were halted. The complexities of real estate development in Hawaii have led to significant delays.
Jeff Stone, CEO of the Resort Group, anticipates that the Atlantis project may take up to five years to complete, reflecting typical timelines for major resorts in the area.
With its ideal location and sprawling design, the Atlantis resort aims to blend luxury accommodations alongside the existing Disney resort and community features, enhancing tourism appeal.
