"After more than 7 years, Universal has decided to take back the space," Mini Monster posted in a statement on Instagram. "We tried our best to stay, but this decision was beyond our control."

It's the latest closure to hit CityWalk this year. In May, clothing store Francesca's announced it was leaving for the Westfield mall in Sherman Oaks, and its neighbor, fast food spot Chick Chick Chicken, shut down shortly after.
Dongpo Kitchen, a high-end Chinese food chain that opened in CityWalk in 2016, also quietly shuttered sometime this year. Its page is no longer on the Universal Studios Hollywood site, although no official closure announcement was made.
