"Hotels maintain ongoing pest control as they have a vested interest in keeping their properties pest free as they want guests to return," Sizemore said.
"It's nothing to be overly concerned about, considering there are more than 150,000 hotel rooms in our community, and approximately 40 million people visit each year," Sizemore added.
"Adult bedbugs are brown, flat and approximately the size of an apple seed. Rust-colored stains on a mattress or sheets can be evidence of their presence..."
The Environmental Protection Agency recommends checking your mattress and headboard upon check-in and keeping your luggage off the bed.
