York police are investigating a home invasion and auto theft incident that occurred on March 18 in Richmond Hill. At around 3 a.m., three masked male suspects broke into a residence and demanded the keys to an SUV. The victim complied, allowing one suspect to access the vehicle, which was stolen as it was driven through a closed garage door. Fortunately, no one was injured during the invasion. The vehicle was later found abandoned nearby, with indications that a potential fourth suspect may have been involved.

Although the residents complied, the suspects stole the vehicle after reversing through a closed garage door and exiting via the driveway gate.
The stolen SUV was found abandoned nearby, and investigators suspect a fourth person might have assisted the robbery from a dark SUV.
