Six teenagers have been charged in connection with an attempted jewelry store robbery in North York. The incident unfolded when York police were investigating a stolen Acura TLX sedan. After identifying the teenagers linked to the vehicle, the police observed them exit the car armed with sledgehammers. Although they attempted to break into the store, their efforts were unsuccessful. Following a brief foot chase, all but one suspect were apprehended. The group, primarily consisting of teenagers from Toronto and Brampton, faces several serious charges.
"They are masked up, boys, they are ready to do something. They're looking around, they're looking at the window," an unidentified officer can be heard saying in the video.
The suspects ... attempted to force entry, however they failed to gain access," the news release said.
