Toronto is facing significant delays on all streetcar routes on Monday following a weekend of heavy snowfall that resulted in multiple vehicles blocking the tracks. Environment Canada issued snowfall warnings throughout the week, and as of Sunday, a total of 63 cm of snowfall had been recorded, nearing the total of the entire winter season. Delays are expected on all streetcar routes on Monday as Toronto digs out from a weekend of heavy snowfall, the TTC said.
A total of two centimetres of snow are expected, according to the federal weather agency's website.
Sunday saw 22 centimetres of snow accumulate at Toronto Pearson International Airport, bringing total snowfall accumulation to 63 centimetres since last weekend.
The City of Toronto is expected to provide an update on winter maintenance operations on Monday morning.
