Toronto's Pearson International Airport has resumed normal operations following a Delta Air Lines crash landing that occurred a week ago, resulting in 21 hospitalizations. The runway where the incident occurred has been reopened, and cleanup operations are underway at a second affected runway. Despite the crash, cancellations remained low, with airlines reporting a typical number of flight disruptions. Delta Air Lines is compensating passengers, while legal actions have begun against the airline, as the Transportation Safety Board continues its investigation into the crash.
A spokesperson for Toronto’s Pearson airport stated that operations are back to normal a week after the crash landing, with the reopened runway and ongoing cleanup.
Despite the crash landing, only one percent of departing and two percent of arriving flights were cancelled as operations returned to a normal range.
