After a woman was critically injured by a dump truck working on the Ontario Line subway, Toronto city councillor Paula Fletcher has called for a review of safety plans for Metrolinx projects. The incident occurred at an intersection where the truck was reportedly not using approved routes. Fletcher urges an investigation into the situation to address safety concerns raised by residents regarding construction traffic in the area, which has been described as a continuous construction site for the community, leading to fears for public safety.
"You've got to come clean to the community," she said.
Fletcher said she's heard from residents who've complained that the project has made the area "basically a construction zone for Metrolinx."
