Romero House has opened an apartment building for refugees at 2387 Dundas St. W., offering transitional housing to families fleeing crisis since 1991.
Executive Director Francesca Allodi-Ross highlights the importance of providing a beautiful space for families escaping 'horrible things' amid a housing crisis.
Nikoleta Tchepileva, the building's owner, shares her personal experience of settling in Canada and the support she received, stressing the need to give back.
The owners wanted to partner with Romero House because of their understanding of the challenges in relocating without community support.
