Briefly

"What happened yesterday, I'm so scared. I've been doing business in this area for 25 years, and I've never seen anything like this." - Mona Choudhry, local salon owner.
Police confirmed that these types of smash-and-grab incidents have increased dramatically, with robbery rates of jewelry stores more than doubling in parts of the Greater Toronto Area compared to last year.
Sadia Sharma, co-owner of Raj's Jewellery, revealed that her husband was injured during the robbery and is currently in the hospital with serious injuries.
Surveillance footage captured at least three masked suspects using sledgehammers to break into the jewelry store after crashing their vehicle into the building.
