Peel police have arrested a suspect in relation to three sexual assaults where women were picked up by a man posing as a rideshare driver, highlighting the dangers of rideshare impersonation.
The victims were approached at bus stops and offered rides by the perpetrator, who was posing as a rideshare driver, despite none of them having requested a ride.
In the recent incidents, two assaults occurred on November 8, while a third took place on November 16, raising concern among the community about public safety.
The investigation led to an arrest, and although police withheld details about the suspect, they assured the public that more information would soon follow.
