"A man is dead after he was shot several times in a commercial plaza in Vaughan on Monday in what police are calling a targeted incident. The shooting happened in the area of Weston Road and Colossus Drive, according to York Regional Police. Emergency personnel were called to the scene, which was outside a business, shortly after 1 p.m. York Region Paramedics said they took the man to hospital, where he was pronounced dead."
"In a social media post, police said they believe the suspect fled the area in a dark coloured SUV. Officers are currently investigating a vehicle fire in the area of Kipling and Woodbridge Avenue to see if it is related to the shooting. Police said the vehicle matches the description of the suspect vehicle. Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. Police are encouraging anyone with information to come forward."
