Durham police report that their homicide unit is currently investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was found injured in Pickering early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the scene around 5:10 a.m. after reports of a possible collision and discovered the woman with significant injuries.
Following the incident, the woman was transported to a hospital in the Toronto area where she was later pronounced dead.
A man present at the scene has been arrested, prompting the homicide unit to take over the case as investigations continue.
