A significant fire broke out in a Toronto high-rise apartment building at 275 Bleeker Street on Saturday morning. Firefighters encountered intense flames and smoke on an upper floor and faced challenges in locating the fire's origin. Four individuals were taken to the hospital, with one adult in critical condition. In response to the emergency, TTC buses were deployed for displaced residents, while others were asked to shelter in place during ongoing smoke ventilation efforts.
Firefighters encountered heavy flames and smoke on an upper floor… it took firefighters quite some time to find the scene of fire before knocking it down.
A spokesperson for Toronto Paramedic Services said they transported four people to hospital as a result of the fire, including three adults and one teen.
