Ontario Premier Doug Ford stated that if Mexico doesn't address unfair Chinese auto imports, a bilateral trade deal between Canada and the U.S. should be prioritized.
Ford highlighted that since the USMCA agreement, Mexico has become a backdoor for Chinese products into North America, jeopardizing the livelihoods of Canadian and American workers.
He emphasized that if Mexico fails to match Canadian and American tariffs on Chinese imports, they shouldn't enjoy access to the U.S. economy.
Ford mentioned, "You look at Mexico, they're importing cheap products undercutting our hard-working men and women... Unacceptable."
