Coyote attack on dog in Liberty Village leaves woman shaken | CBC News
Briefly

Bianca Tedesco expressed concern over the rising coyote population in Liberty Village, stating, "There are so many coyotes in the area that we're all very scared... it happened right outside my house."
Neighour Jamie Fine shared his worries, saying, "How do we know the dog park's gonna be safe? how do we know the sidewalk, walking out your front door is gonna be safe?"
Toronto Animal Services Director Esther Attard noted, "This time of year is dispersal season for coyotes... which may be contributing to the increase in sightings," highlighting the seasonal nature of the issue.
Attard also emphasized the dangers of feeding coyotes, stating, "It's really important that everybody is aware of this, as it contributes to coyotes becoming habituated to humans and is something we are trying to discourage."
