A head-on collision on Highway 7 near Pickering resulted in the deaths of three individuals and two others suffering life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. involving an eastbound vehicle driven by an 82-year-old man from Port Perry, who died at the scene. Two passengers in a westbound vehicle, aged 63 and 68 from Markham and Scarborough respectively, were also pronounced dead. The driver of the westbound vehicle and another passenger were hospitalized. The investigation is ongoing, and witnesses or those with dashcam footage are urged to reach out to the OPP.
