The romcom stars Griselda Siciliani as Vicky, a 40-year-old who spirals after a breakup while watching others achieve her long-held dream of marriage. Feminist voices criticized the show as a regressive telenovela, arguing Vicky’s desire for marriage and children is excessively patriarchal. Feminist journalist Maria Florencia Alcaraz said the show’s resonance comes from tension between the feminist wave from 2015 to 2020 and continuing traditional mandates. Vicky is portrayed as shaped by feminist questions about desire and autonomy rather than as a feminist heroine.
